Advice For Beginners
If you're new to practising Yoga, we recommend trying our RELAX, STRONG OR YIN first.
Beginning yoga may be challenging, especially taking that first step to arrive for your initial class. At Eden Hot Yoga we appreciate this and therefore do all we can to help you have the best possible experience.
Like any new challenging activity, it can take time to feel and understand the benefits. The heat of a hot yoga class may take time for you to adjust to, or perhaps the faster pace of hot flow yoga leaves you feeling a little lost; but with some patience and a little dedication the science of yoga gradually unfolds.
Make sure that you come prepared for class. It is advised that you arrive approximately 15 minutes early as you will need to complete a medical questionnaire. If you are late you will not be allowed to enter the studio as our classes start on time. It is also recommended that you refrain from eating 2-3 hours prior to the class time and ensure you drink lots of water.
For hot yoga, you will need to bring:
Drinking water, we do sell water at the studio should you forget.
A Yoga mat and a towel (beach towel size) to cover your mat. Right now we cannot lend any yoga mats/towels or props.
Appropriate clothing – Shorts or leggings with a suitable lightweight sports top.
Our studio is fitted with the best state of the art heating system creating the perfect environment to get sweaty. Our teachers are also equipped to adjust the heating system as necessary to make sure everyone breaks a good sweat!
Please feel free to speak to the teacher after class if you have any questions or concerns. A good teacher and the right practice can significantly contribute to your enjoyment, growth, and understanding.
